MI students won 3rd place in the KMIPN competition

Students of the Sriwijaya Polytechnic (Polsri) Department of Informatics Management (MI) successfully passed the qualifying round to the finals and won 3rd place in the National Polytechnic Informatics Student Competition (KMIPN) event at Pens Surabaya, Saturday (9/11).
This event was organized by BAKORMA to improve and demonstrate the IT generation at the polytechnic level at the Applied Level. This selection event was participated by all state polytechnics throughout Indonesia, and Palembang was one of them.
Of the 203 participants, the best people who will advance to the next stage to the grand final have become 103 with 9 categories, one of which is the Animation Design category.
The first assessment selection was carried out in September online by sending a teaser uploaded to YouTube using the KMIPN hashtag. The highlight of the grand final of the competition was last Saturday with the material showing video animations and presentations lasting 7 minutes.
KMIPN is an annual event in collaboration with the Ministry of Research and Technology and Bakorma. This year the competition was held at Pens Surabaya which was immediately opened by the Director of Higher Education and also handed over the trophy to Bakorma.
The competition categories at the KMIPN event are Hackathon, Internet Of Thinking, Design Animation, games, innovation creation, ICT business, e government. The participants who passed the final were 14 polytechnics in Indonesia.
The Head of the Department of Information Management, Indra Satriadi, S.T., M.Kom conveyed his motivation, hope and gratitude because three Polsri students namely Jayah, Bintang and M Abdani had succeeded in making the name of the institution and their department proud at the National Office.
Given the tight competition, he is really proud of his students. And he did not forget to congratulate the students who managed to become the 3rd Winner in this national event.
“I congratulate my students who have succeeded in making the Polsri proud, especially the Information Management Department by successfully qualifying for the final and becoming the 3rd winner in the national event. I hope you guys stay excited for the next event because I know it wasn't easy for you to get to this stage. Because actually it takes hard work and a lot of support to be able to take you to this great event, spread the knowledge you have gained at this event, and continue to fight for IT in Indonesia, "said Indra.
One of the Polsri students who managed to get to this stage, namely Bintang, expressed his gratitude. Because all his hard work that he has done for some time has paid off. After a very tight competition, with great pride and emotion he managed to advance to this stage.
“I am really grateful for having been trusted to be one of the finalists in this event and now managed to become the 3rd national champion. This is the first time for me and my friends to participate in this national event. This is our first step to continue to develop our creativity in the field of animation design. This event is a matter of pride for me to be able to get to this stage, because I have done a lot of hard work so far. And all of that has been paid off with this exciting news, and thanks to the Head of the Department of Information Management and Alma mater who have given their blessing to participate in this event, "explained Bintang.
He hopes that in the future, other outstanding students will appear who can make the Polsri  and Palembang City proud at the IT-free national event for the 4.0 revolution. Which will be the next generation of a bright nation and motivate other students to aggressively make proud achievements.
