One of the achievements of a lecturer at the Sriwijaya State Polytechnic, in the Department of Informatics Management, D3 Informatics Management Study Program, named Indra Griha Tofik Isa, S.T., M.Kom, called Mr. Indra. He was born in 1989 in Sukabumi, he won a campus scholarship to continue his Doctoral program at the National Chin-Yi University of Technology (NCUT) in February 2023. Mr. Indra started his bachelor’s degree education at the Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Pelita Bangsa in 2011, then continued his master’s education at STMIK LIKMI Bandung in 2014. Currently, Mr. Indra is pursuing his bachelor’s degree education in the Doctoral Program of Prospective Technology of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at, the National Chin-Yi University of Technology (NCUT).
“Surely, this scholarship helps in financial support for the education and research process,” said Mr. Indra. While studying abroad, Mr. Indra often interacted with his friends from other countries, such as India, Iran, Vietnam, Canada, and others. Of course, with various cultural backgrounds, good adaptation is needed. At NCUT, Mr. Indra conducted research in the Artificial-IoT laboratory under the supervision of Professor Wen Tsai Sung, which consisted of three Taiwan Master’s Program students, two internships from India, three from Indonesia, and one for the Undergraduate Program. The Research Project that he is currently working on is related to Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Mr. Indra advised his colleagues who wanted to follow his track record to continue their studies abroad, as an educational lecturer is one of the support systems in supporting future careers. “Continuing my doctoral studies is one of my priority plans. However, to support this we need to prepare properly and carefully such as family support, peer support, and research readiness that we will propose including relevant publications that support research, technical capabilities related to the research field, and financial support (scholarship or independent). and most importantly our mental readiness. The point is to stay focused and do your best,” said Mr. Indra (10/02/2023).
