Job market for aircraft maintenance becomes a central issue in the era of opensky. For the last five years, the potential for aircraft maintenance in Indonesia has reached 12 trillion rupiahs annually. Nevertheless, only 30% of the total potential has been managed so far.  It becomes a distinctive challenge for Polsri to provide internationally certified human resources that have the capability to maintain aircraft. As the answer to this challenge, at the beginning of April 2015, Garuda Maintenance Facilities (GMF) AeroAsia, one of Garuda subsidiaries, and Polsri signed MoU for Diploma Three (D-III) Cooperation Program which accompanied by certification from Aircraft Maintenance Training Organization (AMTO) GMF Aerosia under regulation of Civil Aviation Safety Regulation (CASR) 147. The first selection for candidate students will be started in the Academic Year 2014/2015 for Mechanical Engineering Department  Airframe and Power Plant Concentration and Electrical Engineering Department for Electrical Avionic Concentration. Once the students of this cooperation program graduate they will get Diploma from Polsri, Basic Aircraft Maintenance (BAM), and Basic License as aircraft technician. Besides that they will directly be recruited as permanent employees of PT. GMF AeroAsia.
